Murray J. Pato of Boynton Beach Florida, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on June 29, 2018.
He was 88 years old. Murray was born and raised in New York City, in the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx, where he and his wife Eleanor started their family.
They later relocated to Livingston, NJ, with their 3 children, Robin, Steven & Nancy. They subsequently moved to to Roseland, NJ and finally settled in Boynton Beach, Florida.
Murray was a Korean War Veteran, an owner of Pato's Famiy Bakery, Bronx, NY, and Denburg's Bread and Roll Factory in Newark NJ. until 1970.
He was next employed by the NY State Dept. of Law Attorney General's Office, until he retired at 66 years of age. A smart, suave, well read and dressed gentleman, Murray's love of music, sports and politics made him the consummate conversationalist he was; genuinely interested in everyone he met.
He will be remembered as a sweet, loving, kind and caring father and grandfather.
Murray is survived by his loving children, Robin Davis of Roseland, NJ, Steven Pato and his partner Greg Plumblee of Los Angeles, CA, and Nancy Goldberg and her husband Ronald of Warren, NJ. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Hayley Davis of Morristown, NJ, and Ryan and Justin Goldberg of Warren, NJ. Murray is predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Eleanor, his parents, Regina & Sol Pato, his brother Sam and his sister, Lillian.
